The Roane County Board of Education is set to meet this evening at 7 p.m. at the Edward E. Williams Administration Building on Highway 70 and Bluff Road in Kingston. The agenda includes approval of the annual evaluation results for Director of Schools Russell Jenkins, as prepared by the Charles W. Cagle Committee.

Under new business, the board will consider naming the Midway High School football field “Branson Wheaton Field,” accepting a land donation adjacent to Midway Elementary School, making budget amendments, and approving the surplus of one school bus, a storage tank, and various technology and non-technology equipment.

The meeting will also feature the regular facilities report, committee reports, the chairman’s report, the business manager’s report, the director’s report, and scheduled hearing appeals.
