Virginia L. Stagner born of Andrew Martin and Bessie Marie Smith of Jamestown, TN has reached the proud age of 92. She has gone to be with the Lord.

Born on June 13, 1934. She married Edward Elmer Stagner and had 3 children, Anita Stagner of Crossville, TN, James and Anita Stagner of Los Lunas, NM, and Johnny and Shelby Stagner of Clarkrange, TN.

She is survived by one brother, James Smith and family Wanda, Jimmy and Cindy, Lou Nell Smith, Christy and Chris Hazelwood, Rachel Smith and their families Keighly Grace, Braden, Brody, and Braxton. Phillip and Sherwin Harvey and Leslie, Coutney and Candy. Also, grandchildren, Aimee and Stephen Coley, Amanda, John and Grace, Jeremiah and Morgan Stagner, Justin Johnson. Great grandchildren, Hailey and Jesse Coley, Hadley Jo Stagner, Mason Humphries and Raylan Johnson.

She was preceded in death by ex-husband Edward Stagner, her parents, and brothers Everet and twin Elmer, Elza and Leonard Smith. Sisters, Nellie Stack, Annie Christine Smith, Dorothy McMahan and Ida Stella Harvey. Also nephews Christopher Mark Smith and Donald Smith and niece Sandy Ball.

She was an avid gardener and loved to keep chickens and will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
