Betty Louise Cagley, 86
Betty Louise Cagley, age 86 of Oliver Springs, Tennessee went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Park West Medical Center. Betty was born April 15, 1940, in Fountain City, TN to the late Joel and Frances Hill Williams. Betty married her high school sweetheart Charles Cagley. Betty was a long-time member of New Fairview Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, playing piano and organ in church, cooking and spending as much time with her family as possible, and was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan. Before retiring from Y-12, Betty worked for X-10, K25, Roane Hosiery, Methodist Medical Center as well as being a substitute teacher for Oliver Springs High School and volunteering for the PTA. Betty was much loved by many people, and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Other than her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles Cagley, a grand daughter Stephanie Brown, great grandsons: Gage Brown, Jackson Brown, and Grayson Brown, brother Bob Williams, and sisters Linda Sue White, and Mary Williams. Betty is survived by her three daughters: Sandy and husband Ricky Johnson of Oliver Springs TN, Kathy and husband Ron Brown of Oak Ridge, TN, and Karen and husband John Edwards of Oliver Springs, TN. Grandchildren: McKenzie (Robert) Ausmus, Mitzi Johnson (Chris Vanosdale), Adam (Brittany) Brown, Megan (Bobby) Blevins, Zachary (Brenna) Edwards, and Courtney (Nicholas) Fontenot, along with 12 great grandchildren.
Family will hold receiving of friends and visitation on Monday, June 22, 2026, at New Fairview Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, TN from the hours of 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service will follow at the church at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. John Edwards officiating. Graveside Service will be on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at New Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their exceeding gratitude to Betty’s bestie Ms. Jackie Proffer, a resident of NHC in Oak Ridge for friendship that was shown to their mother.
