Wilma Kimbro, 89

WILMA PAULINE KIMBRO age 89 of Crossville TN passed away June 22, 2026. She was born August 19, 1936 in Crab Orchard, TN the daughter of Walter D. and Gertrude Barnwell Turner. She was a homemaker and a member of Lawrence Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. Wilma was a good and faithful servant of the Lord. She raised her family and lived her life according to His teachings. She loved her family greatly and many other children in the neighborhood as well. She was affectionately known as “Nanny” to them all. She was also devoted to her community and was involved in many groups throughout. She will be truly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

She is survived by her son- Walt Kimbro and his wife Vivian of Crossville, TN, daughters- Mary Kimbro of Crossville, TN, Janice Hale and her husband Butch of Rockwood, TN and Susie Kendrick and her husband Phillip of Crossville, TN, brothers- Jimmy Turner and his wife Moreen and Danny Turner and his wife Shelly all of Crossville, TN, sisters- Joyce Conley and Faye Pendleton both of Crossville, TN, grandchildren- Josh Kimbro Lewis, Walter Jeremiah Kimbro, Shelby Fields, Jimma Kimbro, Philip Authier, Andrew Authier, Allison Authier, William Nicholas Wyatt, Felecia Ann Wyatt and Natasha Rae Conley, thirty seven great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and her beloved grand dogs- Jonesy and Nettie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- Bill “Pops” Kimbro, brothers- Charles Turner, JC Turner, Gene Turner, Jerry Turner and Earl Turner and sisters- Linda Carr and Dot Bombailey.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday July 25, 2026 at 3pm at Lawrence Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1pm-3pm two hours prior to the service at the church.
