Carl E. Sexton, age 81, of Crossville, TN, passed away on June 27, 2026 at Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center.

Mr. Sexton was born on May 13, 1945, in Jellico, TN, son of Earl Sexton and Edna Sexton.

He served in the United States Navy and worked as a carpenter for TVA.

He is survived by his sons – Carl E. Sexton, Jr. (Vickie), Michael D. Sexton (Donna), and Timothy W. Sexton (Mary Cox); daughter – Sherry L. Smith; 4 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; and sister – Donna “Tootsie” Richards (Boyd).

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Judy Ann Sexton; brothers Wendell Sexton and Jack Sexton.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 11:00 am at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Crossville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends the night before, Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
