Authorities are searching for a suspect following a fatal early morning assault at a residence on Lowery Street NE on Tuesday.

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of an assault in progress early Tuesday morning. While deputies were en route, they received word that the suspect had already fled the scene.

Upon entering the home, law enforcement found an adult victim suffering from severe injuries. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by deputies and advanced medical care from Bradley County EMS, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division are currently interviewing individuals who were present at the scene during the incident. Authorities are withholding the identities of those involved to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
