Regional Forecast — Cumberland Plateau & Tennessee Valley

A wet start to the week will bring multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. Brief breaks are expected midweek with warmer, more humid conditions returning late in the week as rain chances increase again by Friday.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly during the afternoon and early evening. Areas of morning fog possible on the Cumberland Plateau. Highs around 84 on the Plateau and 88 in the Tennessee Valley. Chance of rain 60 to 70 percent.

Monday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms early, then decreasing overnight. Patchy fog may develop late, especially across the Plateau. Lows around 66 on the Plateau and 69 in the Valley. Chance of rain 60 percent.

Tuesday: Morning fog possible on the Plateau, otherwise showers and thunderstorms likely, especially during the afternoon. Highs around 84 on the Plateau and 87 in the Valley. Chance of rain 60 to 70 percent.

Tuesday Night: Lingering showers and a few thunderstorms possible early, otherwise partly cloudy with patchy late fog on the Plateau. Lows around 66 on the Plateau and 69 in the Valley. Chance of rain 20 to 60 percent.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing during the afternoon. Highs around 85 on the Plateau and 88 in the Valley. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear to partly cloudy. Lows around 66 on the Plateau and 69 in the Valley.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot with isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs around 86 on the Plateau and 90 in the Valley. Chance of rain 20 to 30 percent.
