Funeral Services for Wanda Sue Jones, age 77, of Hanging Limb, Tennessee, will be conducted on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. David Harris will officiate with interment to follow in the F.A. Norrod Cemetery. She was born on Saturday, March 12, 1949, in the Katie Norrod Hill Community of Overton County, Tennessee, and was the beloved daughter of the late Willis D. Hargis and Margaret Sisco Hargis. She passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered around faith, family, and kindness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jones; daughter, Lisa Durham; brothers, Arthur D. Hargis, Claude Hargis, and Paul Hargis; and sister, Treva Geraldine Hargis. She is survived by her children, Donna Lewis (Ronnie), and Jimmy Jones; sisters, Mary Ellen Osborne, Theola Wiggins, Patricia Harris, and Donna Gayle Phillips; brother, Sammy Hargis; grandchildren, Dr. Amanda Vaden (Jason), Phillip Jones, Serena Jones (Jessica), and Ryan Durham; and great-grandchildren, Madison Grace Jones, Kinsley Sloane Vaden, Amira Marie Grasty, Xander, and Addie along with a few bonuses that came with marriages and friendships. Wanda never met a stranger. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, whether around her kitchen table or through a simple conversation. She will be remembered for her loving heart, warm smile, generous and feisty spirit, and the unwavering love she gave to her family and those she considered family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her life was a beautiful example of grace, perseverance, and unconditional love. The lessons she taught, the love she gave so freely, and the memories she created will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.
