On April 10, 1944, Dorothy Annette Inman was born to Charles and Juanita Inman, their 1st born child. Dorothy affectionately known as Ann graduated Campbell High School and went straight into the workforce. Ann was a diligent worker and retired after serving 40 years at Alba Health as a seamstress and supervisor. She loved to crochet, watch old westerns and her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids play sports. She loved the Lord and was a member of Speight’s Chapel church family. One of her favorite things was singing in the Speight’s Chapel choir. As the oldest child she spoiled her siblings, especially her younger sister Patricia (Pat). Ann also loved sitting on the porch during the summer months with her sisters just car watching and passing the time away.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents Juanita and Charles Inman, daughter Deidre Inman, sisters Devon Inman, Evon Jordan, Marva Joyce Inman and Patricia Inman, nieces DayMaylynn Thorne, Cynthia Inman-Davis, and Alisha Inman, nephews David Inman and Calvino Inman-Mynatt.
Ann leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Alisha Inman-Wright, sons Bryan Inman (Rochelle) and Kelvin Inman, sister Gloria (Jean) Harkness, grandchildren Denisha Cox, Kalei Vega, Trumayne Cox, Armando Vega, Dimitrique Inman, Daunte’ Inman, Damarcus Inman, Kyron Inman and Kiara Inman. Special friend and bestie Ms. Waltrine Hardy. Along with 17 Great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 16th, from 5:00-6:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Willie Gallaher officiating. Graveside and interment services will be held on Monday, August 17th, at 11:00 am ET in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Dorothy Annette Inman.
