Funeral Services for Billy Baker, age 82, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Greg Jenkins will officiate with interment to follow in the Stamps Cemetery. Mr. Baker was born on Friday, March 31, 1944, in White County, Tennessee, to the late William Henry “Bill” Baker and Margie Maybell Brown Baker. Mr. Baker passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Baker retired from Potters Ace Hardware of Cookeville and was a truck driver for 30 years. He had a good sense of humor and loved joking around, loved his family, was a Christian, loved the Lord, was a good friend, and a proud “PaPa”. He is survived by, 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Samantha and Jamie Suttle of Monterey, TN, Tonya and Jeremy Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 son, Stephen Baker of Gainesboro, TN; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Pharris and Amelia Suttle; 1 great granddaughter, Anala Pharris; and 1 sister and brother-in-law, Paulette and Abner Graham of White County, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Hargis Baker; son-in-law, Rodney Borondo; sister, Helen Null; brothers, Sammie Lee Baker, Wilburn Ray Baker, Thomas Franklin Baker, and Harold Dillon Baker.
