Phyllis Ann Colston, 74, of Wartburg, TN passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was born on February 8, 1952 in Oliver Springs, TN to loving parents, Harold Lloyd Colston and Robbie Jo Colston.

Phyllis graduated in 1970 from Northridge High School in Dayton, Ohio. After graduating, she moved with her parents and siblings back to Oliver Springs, TN. She enjoyed working in the cafeteria at Wartburg Central Elementary School for many years. From a young age, Phyllis had a soft spot for animals. Her three dogs—Duke, Bo-Bo, and Buddy—never left her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wayne Williams; grandson, Darrick Williams; and brother, Carl “Tommy” Colston.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Kenneth Williams and daughter Rhonda Ann Basler, seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, four siblings: Marion Turnbill, James Colston, Lloyd (Sharon) Colston, and Lela (Austin) Moore; several nieces and nephews, and her three dogs.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 20 at Davis Cemetery in Coalfield, TN with Brandon Moore officiating.
