Cletas Doyle “Doc” Coley, age 94, passed away on September 19, 2026. He was born on August 30, 1932.

Doc was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Nancy Jarnigan Coley.
He is survived by his two sons, Cletas Doyle Coley II (Christel) and Frank M. Coley (Melissa); five grandchildren, Cletas Doyle “Trey” Coley III (Mendi), Lauren Brown (Jake), Paige Presswood (Brandon), Jenna Cofer (Ronnie), and Wyatt Coley (Micaela); eight great-grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Kara Brown, Kobe Brown, Teagan Coley, Hayleigh Coley, Marlie Cofer, Rowen Cofer and Oliver Presswood.

Doc is also survived by his special friend, caregiver, and nurse, Penny Runyan, who faithfully cared for him over the last three years and shared countless adventures with him, taking Doc to many of his favorite places and helping him continue to enjoy life.

Doc was of Baptist faith and was a member of Trenton Street Baptist Church. He worked for many years as a Pipefitter at the Y-12 Nuclear Plant before retiring at the age of 62. Retirement, however, never meant slowing down for Doc. He stayed busy mowing and doing tractor work throughout the community and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. He also spent many years running cars for Sexton’s Automotive Group, a job that kept him on the road and doing something he enjoyed.

Doc lived a long and full life centered around family, hard work, faith and helping others. His 94 years brought countless stories, friendships, and memories that will continue to be shared by those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman, TN. Masonic Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 PM conducted by Southgate Lodge #569 F & A M and Funeral Service to follow. Burial with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 25, 2026, at Roane Memorial Gardens.
