Dale “Yankee” Anderson, 54

Dale “Yankee” Anderson, age 54, of Monterey, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Anderson was born on November 6, 1971, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Yankee was a man who was incredibly easy to love. Above all else in this world, his family was his favorite, and he loved them beyond measure. He was a dedicated family man, a fiercely loyal friend, and a proud protector of his beloved dogs, from Gage to Kane. An avid outdoorsman, Yankee had a deep love for nature and hunting and found great peace and joy in the woods. If you knew Yankee, you knew a man who was genuinely kind, caring, giving, and full of pure fun. He was a great man to everyone he crossed paths with, whether he had known them for years or had just met them for the first time. He was a hardworking and dedicated craftsman and spent his entire life roofing and building homes. He took immense pride in his work, settling for nothing less than perfection at its best, and he literally left his name on the rooftops and structures of so many homes throughout our community. Beyond his professional work, Yankee was a man of action who lived to help others. Without a single moment of hesitation, he would instantly lend a helping hand to anyone who asked or anyone he simply thought needed it. Everyone who knew Yankee was proud to call him a friend. His children were so incredibly proud to call him Dad, and his grandchildren were equally proud to call him Papa. He was completely adored by his wife who was so proud to call him her husband. He will be deeply and greatly missed by the countless lives he touched, leaving behind decades of beautiful memories of the very best times shared with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angie Owens Anderson

children, Ashley Anderson, Scott Anderson, Dale Anderson III, and Jeremy Denny
