ACCIDENT REPORT RELEASED OF VEHICLE CRASH ON I-75 RESULTING IN 6 HURT

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released their preliminary report of a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 in Loudon County yesterday afternoon.

It states a 1997 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by 75-year-old John E Sizemore of Odenville, Alabama, a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse driven by 35-year-old Ashley Rolen of Philadelphia, Tennessee and a 2019 Honda Odyssey controlled by 80-year-old Carolyn Pratt of Sweetwater were all traveling north at the 70.6 mile marker in the right lane.

Traffic was slowing in both lanes at the time of the crash for unknown reasoning. The tractor-trailer struck the Chevrolet in the rear. The Traverse then traveled forward and impacted the Honda in the rear.

Sizemore and a passenger in the Freightliner, 41-year-old Bridget King of Frankfort, Kentucky, escaped injury.

Rolen and passengers, a 3-year-old in a child restraint, a 12 and a 16-year-old, all sustained injuries.

Also hurt in the crash was Pratt and a passenger with her, 54-year-old Carolyn Haun of Sweetwater.
