ALLEGATIONS OF MISCONDUCT RESULT IN BROCK HILL BEING REMOVED AS DEPUTY COMMISSIONER AT TDEC

David Salyers, the newly appointed Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) confirmed Wednesday that Deputy Commissioner Brock Hill was removed from office following complaints of workplace misconduct.

Salyers announced Hill’s dismissal in an email to the parks and conservation staff.  The email stated “Last week I separated former Deputy Commissioner Brock Hill from State service following an investigation into complaints of workplace misconduct.”   No other information was released concerning the alleged misconduct.
Hill, a long time Crossville businessman joined the TDEC as Deputy Director in early in 2011 after serving 16 years as Cumberland County Mayor.
