ALLEGEDLY STOLEN MONKEY CAUGHT AFTER RAMPAGING THROUGH MORRISTOWN MUSIC STORE
In Morristown, Tennessee, a Cinnamon Capuchin monkey entered the Trade Center on South Cumberland Street around 8 a.m. on Sunday, causing damage to the business and several musical instruments.
The Morristown Police Department responded to the call, and although initial attempts by Animal Control to capture the animal were unsuccessful, the monkey was later caught that night.
Police are aware of allegations that the monkey was stolen from a farm in Alabama, transported to Morristown, and sold, and they have stated that the investigation into these claims is ongoing.
This remains a developing story.
