ALLIGATOR CAPTURED IN WHITES CREEK AREA OF RHEA COUNTY
Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) wildlife officers captured a four-foot-long alligator yesterday in the Whites Creek area of Rhea County.
Officers transported it to the Chattanooga Zoo.
Officers say the alligator was believed to have been raised in captivity.
While alligators are not native to this part of Tennessee, they can be found in Shelby and Hardin Counties.
TWRA reminds residents not to dump unwanted animals.
