ALMOST 200,000 VIVITAR BLENDER BOTTLES RECALLED; LACERATION HAZARD

The recall involves Vivitar Blender Bottles, clear plastic bottles with a white base and top, identified by “VIVITAR,” “Description: Blender Bottle,” “ITEM: ES15-BB-TA,” and “MID #5220824” on a sticker under the base.
Approximately 199,000 units are affected. The hazard is that the blender’s blades can operate even when the bottle is detached, posing a laceration risk. The recall was announced on April 03, 2025. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and contact Sakar for a full refund, offered as a $5 Target gift card or a check, along with a pre-paid return shipping label.
The recalled blender must be returned to Sakar, and no proof of purchase is needed. One incident has been reported where the bottle was removed while the blades were active, but no injuries occurred. The product was sold at Target stores and Target.com from December 2024 to January 2025 for about $5. It was manufactured in China and imported by Sakar International Inc. of Edison, New Jersey. The recall number is 25-214.
