Ann Carey, mother of former two-term Cumberland county Mayor Kenny Carey, passed away Monday morning following a long battle with cancer.   Ann was very active in the community including volunteering for the Cumberland County Fair for the past three decades along with working with the family-operated Hit-N-Miss Farm on Plateau Road. Funeral services for Lydia Ann Carey, age 79, of Crossville, will be held on Friday, December 17th at 1:00 PM at Hood Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 16th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Hood. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Garden. Survivors include son Kenny Carey, and daughter Kim Wattenbarger. Hood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
