Roane County- Another fire has popped up alongside Interstate 40 in between the other two. This is around mile marker 342. This brush fire is currently about 4ac and 0% contained. It is ACTIVE.

EMA crews and the TN Forestry personnel were sent back to this fire just before 1 pm (eastern time) today. The fire is about 100 yards off the interstate and was under the TVA Power lines. The westbound right shoulder of I40 is closed and continues to cause a few slow-ups of traffic near the scene. The fires this week numerous times have led to periodic lane closures and other traffic restrictions along I-40 on Rockwood mountain.
