The TDOT Smartway map, as well as our Roane County correspondant, have reported a multi-vehicle crash taking place on Eastbound Interstate 40 at 1:12 p.m. near mile marker 346.

The Eastbound left lane and shoulder are blocked.

According to reports, the accident involved a tractor trailer versus two vehicles, with four patients we know of right now and one possible entrapment. Emergency personnel are just now getting to the scene.
