Knoxville, TN- On Tuesday afternoon around 4 PM, Rural Metro Fire responded to a reported apartment fire at the Walker Springs apartment complex building J. When crews arrived, they discovered heavy smoke and fire coming from a unit in that building.

KCSO did a great job evacuating the adjacent buildings and fire crews determined that all occupants were accounted for in building J. That building is a total loss, and some units were affected in the next building (connected by a breeze way). The Red Cross is assisting with shelter for the families and individuals impacted by the fire.

There were no injuries to occupants or firefighters.
