ARREST MADE AFTER $75,000 IN GOODS WAS STOLEN FROM A COOKEVILLE HOBBY STORE

🔹Burglary Investigation of 931 Sports Cards & Collectibles Results in Arrest🔹

On January 20, 2026, detectives with the Cookeville Police Department began investigating a burglary that occurred at approximately 6:12 a.m. at 931 Sports Cards and Collectibles.

The investigation determined that the business was forcibly entered using a vehicle. An estimated $75,000 worth of merchandise, primarily sports trading cards, was taken during the burglary.

Through investigative efforts, detectives developed a suspect and made contact with Evan Petty at a residence on Glenview Drive. Detectives executed a search warrant on the residence and recovered a significant portion of the stolen merchandise.

Petty was arrested and charged with Burglary, Theft (Class B Felony), and Vandalism (Felony). He was issued an $88,000 bond.
