ARREST MADE AFTER PURSUIT THROUGH ROCKWOOD

A Rockwood Police Department report states that just before 6:00 P.M. Saturday, an officer was dispatched for a suspicious vehicle parked in the alley around North Kingston Avenue. When the officer arrived, the parked vehicle took off. The officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but it would not stop. At this point, a pursuit was activated as the vehicle approached Dunn Street, swerved into the opposite lane of travel and almost struck a county deputy who was coming to assist the pursuit. The driver continued towards Highway 70 East where the vehicle continued down to Post Oak Valley Road where it almost struck another vehicle, then turned onto Burdett Road and into his alleged residence off Burdett Road.

The driver identified as Scottie Skidmore was then taken into custody at that location without incident. The report stated that Skidmore tossed a bag of believed illegal narcotics out the window during the pursuit.

Scottie Skidmore was charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • 3 Counts of Reckless Endangerment
  • Tampering with or Fabricating Evidence
  • Evading Arrest in Motor Vehicle
  • Driving on revoked or suspended license
