Artis H. Winningham, age 95, of Crossville, passed away September 17, 2019. He was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II and was retired from the Cumberland County school system having taught in the classroom for many years before becoming principal. He is survived by his wife: Gayle Winningham; sons: Ronald Winningham (Pam), Randall Winningham (Darlene), and Bill Bruce (Kim); daughters: Natalie Winningham and Bonnie Ashburn (Terry) of Crossville; many grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday September 21, 2019 at 4 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church. The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in his memory or the charity of your choice.
