ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE FRIDAY FOR WORKERS DISLOCATED BY CLOSURE OF JAMESTOWN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD), along with local workforce partners Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency and the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency, will send a Rapid Response Team to Fentress County Friday to assist workers affected by the closure of the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

The Rapid Response event will take place Friday, June 21, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Fentress County Courthouse.

Rapid Response Team members from the Upper Cumberland American Job Center will work with dislocated workers to update their resumes, discuss available free job training and help workers start the job search process.

Staff from the TDLWD Unemployment Security Division will be in Fentress County to help dislocated workers apply for unemployment insurance benefits. Workers who need to file a claim must bring their 2018 W-2, their last pay stub for 2019 showing year to date earnings, and two forms of ID.

The TDLWD mobile American Job Center will also be on-site to assist dislocated workers.
