AUTUMN BEGINS TUESDAY 8:30 A.M. CENTRAL

Summer of 2020 went out with some beautiful weather on Monday and Autumn is going to arrive with fair to partly sunny skies on Tuesday and highs in the low to mid 70s. Tropical storm Beta will begin to bring some moisture into Tennessee for Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of a shower. Rain chances increase to 60% on Thursday and we could see scattered showers right on into the weekend. The first three weeks of September have been pretty dry with only an inch and a quarter of rain in Crossville and most of Cumberland County. The Smokies have had the most rain this month as they picked up an inch just last week from Hurricane Sally. Fall begins officially at 8:30 Central time Tuesday morning, 9:30 Eastern Time.
