AWARD PRESENTED TO LOUDON COUNTY MAN WHO SAVED MOTHER AND CHILD IN HOUSE FIRE
The Outstanding Citizenship Award was presented this week in the Loudon County Commission meeting to Phillip Turner III.
On February 12, 2024, Turner was on his way to work when he noticed a house on fire.
He entered the home and found a mother and child still asleep. He woke them up and helped them out of the house and then returned to rescue their dog.
Officials say had it not been for the heroic actions of Turner, the event could have had a tragic outcome.
