B.J. THOMAS, SINGER OF ‘RAINDROPS KEEP FALLIN’ ON MY HEAD,’ PASSES AWAY AT AGE 78

B.J. Thomas passed away yesterday at the age of 78 from complications from stage 4 lung cancer at his home in Arlington, Texas.

The “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” and “Hooked on a Feeling” singer was a 5-time Grammy Award winner as well as a Grammy Hall of Fame inductee.

Over his career, Thomas sold 70 million albums worldwide and had eight No. 1 hits and 26 Top 10 singles. Among them were “(Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song,” “I Just Can’t Help Believing,” “Don’t Worry Baby,” and “Hooked on a Feeling.”

Thomas is survived by his wife, Gloria, who he was married to for 53 years; daughters: Paige Thomas, Nora Cloud and Erin Moore; and grandchildren: Nadia Cloud, Keira Cloud, Ruby Moore and Billy Joe Moore. Funeral plans are still in the process, but will remain private. In-memoriam donations can be made to Mission Arlington, Tarrant Area Food Bank and the SPCA of Texas.
