Kyker – Becky Frederick, age 85, of Kingston, Tennessee, passed away May 17, 2025. She was born August 10, 1939, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Leon and Ester Hayes.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Wyndle Frederick of Kingston: parents, Leon and Ester Hayes of Birmingham, Alabama: sisters, Carolyn Yearty (Budge) of Pensacola, Alabama, and Margaret Hill (Jim) of Pleasant Grove, Alabama.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Brooks (Chuck) of Grayson, Georgia, Suzy Badger of Kingston, Tennessee, Teri Frederick of Kingston, Tennessee, and son Stephen Powers (Sunny) of Sweetwater, Tennessee: grandchildren, Christopher, Eric (Brittany), Kevin and David Brooks, Robert and Chrissy Badger and Celeste Powers: great-grandchildren Avery and Hunter Elsea, Evan Badger, Evelyn, Violet, Henry and Will Brooks and many nieces and nephews.

Becky was a long-time member of Youngs Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Kingston. She worked for many years at the Roane County News in the classifieds department. She was also involved in Roane County Habitat for Humanity, Roane County Right to Life and Roane Republican Women.

Becky was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time tending to her flowers and yard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston. Funeral 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Youngs Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Pastor Dale Watson officiating. Interment to follow in Kingston Memorial Gardens.
