It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Betty Louise (Place) Anderson on January 18, 2025 at age 93. She passed away peacefully athome in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, with her daughter by her side. Betty is reunited in death with her husband George and survived by her daughter Heidi, granddaughters Chelsea and Danica, and great granddaughter Grace. Originally from Ridott, Illinois, Betty spent many years as a high school physical education teacher before moving to Tennessee in 1996 with her husband of 68 years, George, until his passing in 2022. Betty’s life in Tennessee was full of music ministry at Christ Lutheran Church, being a member of the Art Guild, playing golf, tennis, and bridge. To quote Betty in her own words, “This is my story, this is my song. We will never regret moving to this beautiful place, Tennessee. It has been a wonderful life with very special granddaughters, dear friends, and a loving husband and daughter.”

Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Fairfield Glade on March 8, 2025 at 1p. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Christ Lutheran Church’s music ministry or the Fairfield Glade Art Guild, two significant passions in Betty’s life.
