BLEDSOE COUNTY FIRST RESPONDERS LOCATE STRANDED ELDERLY DRIVER ON SMITH MOUNTAIN
Early last night, Bledsoe County first responders learned of a stranded elderly motorist on Smith Mountain on top of Blue Sewanee. Because of the roughness of the terrain and location, Sequatchie County Rescue was requested for mutual aid using their 4×4 vehicles.
After searching for routes to access the female, two members from the Lusk Fire Department happened to find the lady while out 4×4 riding on Smith Mountain. She was later checked out by Bledsoe County medics on scene and transported back to a command post safely.
Bledsoe County EMA wishes to thank everyone for their help in the multi county operation.
