BODY OF 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL RECOVERED FROM RED RIVER

On Sunday afternoon, the Clarksville Police Department reported that the body of an 11-year-old girl, who had been reported missing, was recovered from the Red River in Clarksville, Tennessee. Witnesses observed the girl go underwater near the metal bridge in Billy Dunlop Park around 1:26 p.m., prompting several adults to search for her in the water.
Emergency crews, including Clarksville Fire Rescue, Montgomery County EMS, and the police, responded to the scene and located the girl’s body by 2:42 p.m. Following the incident, Billy Dunlop Park, Robert Clark Park, and the Blueway were temporarily closed to facilitate emergency operations. No further details have been released.
