An inmate at the Bradley County Jail has died after suffering a medical emergency during breakfast service on Wednesday morning, August 5, according to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

Correctional staff intervened immediately, rendering aid until emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene. The inmate was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his condition.

Authorities have withheld the inmate’s identity pending family notification. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has launched an independent investigation into the cause of death.
