BREAKING NEWS – Legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen passed away today following a courageous battle with throat cancer. He was 65-years-old.

Eddie formed Van Halen in Pasadena in 1972 with his brother, Alex, on drums, Michael Anthony on bass and David Lee Roth singing. They went on to record megahits such as “Runnin’ with the Devil,” “Unchained,” “Hot for Teacher,” “Panama” and “Jump”

Van Halen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.

Eddie Van Halen is widely considered one the greatest guitar players of all time.
