Brenda Scott, age 81, was born on April 23, 1941, to Charles and Mary Cosby in Cub Run, KY, and passed away on April 9, 2023, at her home in Sparta, TN.

Brenda loved going to church, singing, working puzzles, fishing, and most of all, spending time with her children and family.

She is survived by her children James (Amanda) Scott, Sonjia (Shane) Potter, and Rod (Angie) Jackson; grandchildren Shawn Scott, Faith Henderson, Spencer Potter, Allan Bennett, Shayna LaRue, Shannen Kilgore, and Dynah Jackson; and siblings Sue, Freda, and Kenny.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Owen and Mary (Merideth) Cosby; husband James E. Scott; and siblings Bertha, Omar, David, Alta, Folton, Newman, Winston, and Truman.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm, with the service to follow at 2 pm, Pastor Mark Hall officiating. Burial will be in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
