BUGABOO HIGHCHAIRS RECALLED; 13 INJURED

On June 12, 2025, approximately 18,280 Bugaboo Giraffe highchairs (plus 2,325 sold in Canada) were recalled due to a fall hazard caused by the potential detachment of the chair legs from the frame if screws are not properly tightened during assembly, posing a risk of serious injury or death to babies.
The recalled highchairs, sold in blue, black, natural wood/white, warm wood/gray, and white, measure about 30 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and 23 inches long, and were available at Nordstrom, other specialty stores, and online at Bugaboo and Amazon from May 2023 to April 2025 for about $380.
Bugaboo has reported 22 incidents of leg detachment, including 13 minor injuries. Consumers are urged to stop using the highchairs immediately and contact Bugaboo’s Service Team at 800-460-2922, via email at [email protected], or online at Bugaboo’s website for a free repair kit, which includes an Allen key and new screws.
Bugaboo is directly notifying known purchasers to facilitate the repair process.
