On June 12, 2025, approximately 113,000 RYOBI 40V 24-Inch Cordless Hedge Trimmers (models RY40620VNM, RY40602VNM, and RY40602BTLVNM) were recalled in the U.S., along with 15,000 units in Canada, due to a laceration hazard. This issue has led to 27 reported incidents, including 16 injuries ranging from minor to severe lacerations.
