BULL RUN FOSSIL PLANT TO BE TESTING SITE FOR FUSION ENERGY
Bull Run Fossil Plant in Clinton is set to become a testing site for fusion energy thanks to a partnership between Oak Ridge National Laboratories, TVA, and Type One Energy.
The plan, according to Associate Laboratory Director Mickey Wade, is to turn the plant into an energy source and gradually turn all natural gas plants, coal plants, and nuclear fission plants into fusion plants down the line.
No construction will be necessary other than putting together the equipment. And even more conveniently, the plant already has a power grid built into it.
Environmental reviews will be conducted through the process.
