Putnam County sheriff’s deputies responded last night to the end of POW Road south of Baxter.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered a burned GMC Sonoma along with the burned body of an unidentified Caucasian male, partially outside of the vehicle. The cause of death is undetermined at this time. The body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office for autopsy in Nashville.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
