Funeral services for Carlos Eugene “Gene” Neal, age 83, of Byrdstown, will be Saturday, March 16, at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Mullins Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday, March 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. Survivors include widow, Linda (Lee) Neal of Byrdstown; a son, Charles Wayne Neal of Byrdstown; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Michael and Patricia Harding of Maryville; a stepdaughter, Missy Harding of Byrdstown; a sister, Doris Clark of Byrdstown; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. The Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown is in charge of the arrangements.
