Crossville Memorial – In Loving Memory of Carolyn Lucille Barnett December 3, 1952 – June 8, 2025 Carolyn Lucille Barnett, age 72, of Crossville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2025. She was born on December 3, 1952, in Crossville, to the late Bertha Elizabeth (Barnes) Sherrill and Robert Samuel Sherrill. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was married to the love of her life, Leamon Barnett, for 53 wonderful years before his passing. Their marriage was a shining example of love and commitment, spanning over five decades. A proud graduate of the Class of 1970, Carolyn dedicated over 30 years of her life working as a nurse technician at Cumberland Medical Center. Her compassion and devotion to her patients left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Above all, Carolyn was a woman of deep faith—a dedicated Christian who loved Jesus with all her heart. She found great joy in attending church and sharing the love of Christ with others. Carolyn is survived by her beloved daughter, Arbanda Kaye (Kenneth) Kirby; cherished grandchildren, Shannon (Robert) Tebault and Sarah Kirkland; and adored great-grandchildren, Braylyn Hallberg, Brantley Tebault, and Jameson Tebault. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Samuel Sherrill Jr., Betty Jean Sherrill, and Tony Ray Sherrill, and many nieces and nephews who held special places in her heart. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leamon Barnett; her parents, Bertha and Robert Sherrill Carolyn had a sparkle that shined brightest during the holidays—she looked forward to Christmas shopping each year, delighting in finding the perfect gifts for her family. She had a fondness for all things cheetah print and was especially passionate about shoes and purses, often sharing her love for fashion with those around her. Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with the service to follow at 1:00pm, David Morgan officiating. She will be laid to rest in Old Forest Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
