CATASTROPHIC FLOODING

The flood disaster in Humphreys County and parts of Western Middle Tennessee continues to get worse with 10 people reported killed and 30 missing. One of the official rain gauges has recorded 17 inches of rain since midnight. Many roads are washed out and power is out to thousands of people. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting multiple local law enforcement agencies with traffic control, water rescue and other response efforts in Dickson, Humphreys and Hickman counties. THP is also conducting helicopter aquatic rescue team missions. The Tennessee National Guard is supporting multiple air operations missions across Middle Tennessee.
