Crossville Memorial – Charles Lloyd Rhea, age 81, was born on June 15, 1943 to Herman and Bessie Rhea in Chico, CA. He passed away on May 16, 2025 in Crossville, TN. Although he lived most of his life in California, throughout the years, he also lived in Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, and Texas. As an adult, Lloyd was a member of the National Guard and then the Civil Service before he retired in 1999. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his family. His hobbies included camping, going on cruises, fishing, hot rods (cars), and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, of almost 50 years, Sandra K. (Slappey) Rhea; his children: Michael (Ginny) Rhea and Yvette Rhea; grandchildren: William Bond, Kyle Rhea, and Cory Wayne Classey Rhea; brothers: Glen (Betty) Rhea and Albert (Naomi) Rhea; and in-laws: Glenda (Marvin) Nance, Johanna Allen, and Kathy (Tom) Miller. Lloyd was proceeded in death by his parents Herman Davis and Bessie Bell (Taylor) Rhea; uncle: Willis Rhea; and sisters: Bernis (Don) Ludington and Lola Galado. The Memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home at 1:00pm, Pastor Craig Ward officiating.
