CHATTANOOGA BOY PASSES AWAY AFTER COURAGEOUS BATTLE WITH INJURIES SUSTAINED FROM TORNADO

A Chattanooga boy who was critically injured last Sunday after a powerful EF-3 tornado struck Chattanooga has passed away after a courageous battle with his injuries.

Four year old Grayson Meadow’s mom says he will live on as an organ donor and hopes others consider becoming organ donors too.

Grayson’s T-ball coach had this to say: “Grayson was a very fun kid to be around with lots of energy! He came with his game face on and he would give it his best hit every time it was his turn to bat! At the last game, I remembered how big his smile was to receive his medal.”

Grayson’s father remains in an ICU unit dealing with injuries he sustained in the incident.

The National Weather Service report says at 11:19 p.m. last Sunday (Easter), the tornado started just inside the Georgia state line. It traveled 14.5 miles through Chattanooga, Ooltewah and into southeast and southwest Bradley County, where it dissipated at 11:33pm – lasting 14 minutes. The tornado resulted in 150 mile per hour winds leaving a trail of destruction and 3 fatalities in Chattanooga.
