CHATTANOOGA STANDOFF ENDS NON-VIOLENTLY

An hours-long standoff in Chattanooga ended with the suspect being caught Saturday evening. According to police, the suspect was identified as James Waters, who was wanted out of Texas for attempted robbery and probation violation. He had an outstanding warrant in Chattanooga for aggravated domestic assault. Waters was holed-up alone at an address on Harley Lane. At one point, the neighborhood was evacuated and SWAT was summoned. Authorities used gas to incapacitate waters, and he was finally taken without incident.
