CHATTANOOGA STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE ENTERED LOCKDOWN, NO CREDIBLE THREAT FOUND

Earlier today, Chattanooga State Community College went into lockdown in response to multiple calls to the Chattanooga Police regarding a possible gunman on campus. The caller made monetary demands, threatening to harm students if their demands weren’t met.
A release from the CPD says officers on the scene located no credible threat.
As of 1:06 p.m., the lockdown has been lifted, although classes for the day have been canceled and the college is closed for the rest of the day. Student and employee support is still available.
