CLARKRANGE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT HONORED WITH VOLUNTEER STAR AWARD

Natalee Sturgill, of Fentress County, was awarded a 2019 Governor’s Volunteer Star Award over the weekend for her community involvement and service. The Governor’s Volunteer Stars Awards (GVSA) is an initiative from Volunteer Tennessee that seeks to recognize outstanding volunteers from each of Tennessee’s 95 counties. Natalee is a junior at Clarkrange High School where is a member of several clubs and organizations. She is treasurer of her school’s Christian Club and Vice President of the Clarkrange High School Interact Club. Natalee is an active member of Tennessee 4-H where she currently serves on the Eastern Region 4-H All Star Council. She is an Ambassador Girl Scout and is working toward her Gold Award. Natalee donates her time to help raise money to find a cure for cancer and for healthy living initiatives.
