ROANE COUNTY AUTHORITIES LOOKING INTO DEATHS OF TWO IN DIFFERENT INCIDENTS
Emergency response teams in Roane County went to the railroad overpass bridge on Highway 70 in Rockwood late last night after a body was discovered. Sheriff Jack Stockton said the Caucasian male was found in the creek underneath the bridge. The deceased was taken to the U.T. Forensic Center for an autopsy to determine an exact cause of death. Sheriff Stockton added he had an off duty deputy get the information of a possible body in the water. In an unrelated incident, the discovery of a deceased man found in a home Saturday night off of Furnace Avenue in Rockwood is under investigation. The male reportedly in his 40’s was taken to the U.T. Forensics Center to determine the exact cause of death. More regarding these two cases will be released at a later time.
