CLARKSVILLE FIREFIGHTER’S HOME BURNS TO THE GROUND

PALMYRA, Tenn. — A Clarksville firefighter’s family of six is displaced after a fire at their home.
The fire took place Saturday night on Oak Ridge Road. Clarksville Fire Rescue firefighter Bryan Birkes parked his UTV in the garage shortly before smelling smoke and finding the garage on fire, according to Clarksville Firefighters Foundation.
No injuries are reported, but the house and the family’s belongings are destroyed, said CFF.
While the family has insurance, the CFF is assisting with the collection of donations to get the family with four children back on their feet. Donations can be made to their Venmo.
Birkes also volunteers with Montgomery County Fire Service.
